Just posting this here for anyone who cares. Just saw that Creative put out a new firmware for the zen micros. I'm just pointing out the fact that its the same update for the DJ's, and i think it has the same name (v2.xx.xx)

The thing about this firmware was that Creative did not release it first. Audible did. It wasn't until 2 weeks later did Creative have it on their own server for download. I noticed this and even questioned Audible on what firmware it was and broke the news to the people on the Creative forum about the firmware being available on Audible and not on Creative's own website. The version number is 2.20.05, and it came out about the same time that the DJ's Audible firmware 2.20.07 did as well, obviously Creative did the Micro first, but not releasing it on for download on their own servers was bad on their behalf.

Although the versions are similar the Micro's firmware does add several things that the DJ doesn't need like a 4hour standby time, as opposed to the previous 24hours that the Micro had. The Micro drains lots of battery when in standby mode so Creative reduced the time to 4hours after having a long petition on what time it should be set to. Creative responded with a v1 firmware about 2months ago for download, only now did they make the PFS firmware (2.20.05) to have this change.

Now the interesting thing is if Creative will make a v1 firmware with Audible support, becuase just like the DJ's, Audible is only available on the PlaysForSure firmware.

In the past however Creative's firmwares have came out around the same time as the DJ's such as they have firmware 1.02.05, the DJ's have 1.02.01.

But we all know that Creative loves the DJ's :D
