iRiver Hong Kong has a hell of a weird promotion going on where you could potentially get the iRiver U10 for free. This promotion is called the U10 Click Play Debut and runs until October 31. There are 10 conditions and for each one that is met, a 10% discount is granted, so if all 10 conditions are met, then the freeness will happen! Chance that anyone actually meets this condition? Highly unlikely.

1. Born in October
2. Born at 10th day of the month
3. Sum of date of birth is 10
4. Name consisted of 10 alphabets
5. 10cm long finger
6. Wear shoes sized of 10
7. Parent of 10-year-old kid
8. Own 10 pieces of HK$10 note
9. 10 pierces in the earlobes
10. Work/Stay at 10th floor

Let's see...I was born in May.....so 2 times 5 is ten...so that's 5 percent off.

It's also impossible to have all of the first 3 true, thus you couldn't get a free U10. If you're born in October, then the sum of your birthdate is already 10, without the year and day; same for if you were born on the tenth.

In fact, it's impossible for number three to be true, since the year would throw any number over ten. If you were born on 1/1/0008, then you apply, and you are the youngest that would apply.

I wear size 9 1/2....damn!

I don't think they count the year, Sean.

Shhh, calm down. Shhh, it's alright, it's alright. We understand.

You can still get it heavily discounted, though.

Well, not as discounted as you think. It depends on how they do it....like if they take every 10% from the original price....then yeah. But if keep taking 10% off of the reduced price, then it's still smallish.....I'm not making sense. :-(
