I'm getting one for Christmas, and I want a case to protect it from scratches. I want to get this one..

I wanted to know if anyone has one of these, because this looks like a good, cheap case for the iPod.

BTW: I'm getting the black iPod Video. I wanted to get a clear case, but the "arctic" case has some 'frostyness' to it, so it will affect the colour. Should I go with the black?

Actually, if you want to show off the fact that you have a black iPod, get the black. My friend has a black nano but he got a white silicon case for it like this one, so it completely takes away from the fact that his nano is black. So yeah, the Arctic will take away from the black iPod's looks.

I've been eye balling an ezArmor Aluminum Case (http://www.ezgear4u.com/ezArmor_nano.htm) for my nano. They also have the Clear Case (http://www.ezgear4u.com/clearCase.htm) made of clear acrylic you maybe interested in.

I'm also getting the iPod Video and I'm getting these (http://www.speckproducts.com/vid-skintight-ds.html) cases, which don't look that bad. Plus, you get 3 for $30.

Ehhhh...it's ok, but I'm only saying that because I'm biased towards silicone cases.

I also like how there are fingerprints on it just from holding it. Not.

I honestly don't like the idea of that plastic hard piece in the front of the case at all. If I was going to buy a silicone case, I would just buy a regular case for much cheaper than this one.

Its getting really annoying because I have vowed not to take my ipod out of the plastic wrapper until I can put it directly in the case (though I am afraid of how many mark I will make just trying to get it in the case)

The back and side parts of it is silicon, then theres a plastic piece that slips under the edges of the silicon and covers the front.

I may be exagerating a little bit, but my sister has a few vertical lines on her screen from sliding the outer clear plastic cover (with the "dont steal music") on and off.

Yeah they are VERY easy to scratch up. I got a couple tiny scratches on the screen (not noticable unless you look really hard) and a couple bigger scratches on the back. And I kept it in the case it came in (the leather white one) for the first 2 weeks I had it.

BTW: GTCDJ, mine took close to a week to recieve, and I live an hour drive away from the place they make/ship them from, so you'll get yours soon, don't worrk.

thanks a bunch for the pics. I've been trying to find a good quality case for my new black 5G iPod and I think I'll have to go with the iSkin eVo3. I just can't decide which colour to get, eclipse or arctic.

At first, I was going to get arctic one after seeing these pics: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=169948 but now after seeing your, pics, I'm not so sure.

How the heck are your pics so nice, while the ones on the macrumors forum make the eclipse colour look so ugly?

(It doesn't look like it is in the professional picture either, so I was very happy when jammin posted his pics to make my choice easier) The other colors actually show through a little. And if I were to get a silicon case (for an iPod), I'd get clear or white, but I dont like silicon cases that much anyway. My dad lost his job 2 months ago, so its been rough for my family since then. Not like we're poor, but I don't need an iPod, so my parents arent just gonna give me the money for one if we have other needs. But he's gotten another job, so maybe ill get one in the next month or so. I still want to see the Toshiba Gigabeat S series.

Thanks for the input guys. I opted for the arctic. It does does take away from the fact it's a black iPod, but only a very little bit, but like getthecatdj15, I didn't like how the eclipse one was opaque. I wanted to see the click-wheel. It actually doesn't look too bad, you can still tell it's black.

That looks nice. One thing I'm a little unhappy with (but can be fixed whenever I get around to it) is the top left of the hard cover has an extra lip of molded plastic which causes a small lump and gap. I just need to sand it down all the way.
